Entry Fee – 15% of prize money won except for classes 22 and 27.

Entry fee for classes 23, 30 and 31 is $10.00 per class and entries with payment must be made at the beginning of the show.

Note:  All exhibitors must pay $5.00 membership fee to Region of Peel Agricultural Society.

Ribbons awarded to fifth place.

Prize Money:

Classes 1 to 3, 5 to 7, 9 to 11, 13 , 28, 29 – 1st - $14.00, 2nd - $12.00, 3rd - $10.00, 4th - $8.00, 5th - $6.00

Classes  4 , 8, 12, 14 to 18, 30– Ribbons only

Classes 19 to 21, 23 to 26, 31– 1st – 25.00, 2nd - $20.00, 3rd - $15.00, 4th - $12.00, 5th - $10.00

Classes 22 & 27– 1st - $40.00, 2nd - $35.00, 3rd - $30.00, 4th - $25.00, 5th - $15.00

BREEDING DIVISION

Section A: Registered in Section A of the Stud Book

Class:

  1. Two Years Old and Under, colt, filly or gelding.
  2. Three Years Old and Over, Mare
  3. Three Years Old and Over, Stallion or Gelding
  4. Champion and Reserve Champion, Section A

Section B:  Registered in Section B of the Stud Book

Class:

  1. Two Years Old and Under, Colt, Filly or Gelding
  2. Three Years Old and Over, Mare
  3. Three Years Old and Over , Stallion or Gelding
  4. Champion and Reserve Champion, Section B

Sections C and D:  Welsh Ponies of Cob Type

(Sections C and D must be registered in Sections C and D of the Welsh Stud Book)

Class:

  1. Two Years Old and Under, colt, filly or gelding
  2. Three Years Old and Over, Mare
  3. Three Years Old and Over, Stallion or gelding
  4. Champion and Reserve Champion, Section C or D
  5. Canadian Foaled Bonanza, Open to Two Years & Under, Canadian Born, Open to Sections A, B, C & D

JUNIOR DIVISION

Note:      All exhibitors’  ages are based as of January 1st of the current year.

Riders in Classes 17, 18 and 19 are not eligible to ride in the Performance Division.

  1. Junior Showmanship, 10 years of age and under, Section A, B, C, D and Half Welsh – Mares and Geldings
  2. Junior Showmanship, 11 to 17 years of age. Section A, B, C, D and Half Welsh – Mares and Geldings.
  3. Child’s Lead Line Pony – Walk/Trot – for Children 5 years and under, Section A, B, C, D and Half Welsh – Mares and Geldings
  4. Child’s Lead Line Pony – Walk/Trot – for Children 10 years and under, Section A, B, C D and Half Welsh Mares and Geldings
  5. Child’s Pony – Walk/Trot – for Children 12 years and under,  Section A, B, C, D and Half Welsh – Mares and Geldings

PERFORMANCE DIVISION

Class:

  1. Pleasure Pony under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior to Ride – Section A and B – Mares and Geldings
  2. Pleasure Pony under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Adult to Ride- Section A and B – Mares, Geldings & Stallions
  3. Pleasure Pony under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior or Adult to Ride.  Section C and D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings.  No more than eight to canter at one time.
  4. Pleasure Pony under Saddle – STAKE – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior or Adult to Ride.  Section A, B, C, D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings.  No more than eight to canter at one time.   (Entry fee - $10.00)
  5. Welsh Open Command under Saddle, Junior or Adult to Ride.  Section A, B, C, D and Half Welsh.  Mares, Stallions or Geldings
  6. Pleasure Driving Pony – Section B, C, D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings
  7. Pleasure Driving Pony – Section A – Mares, Stallions or Geldings
  8. Pleasure Driving Pony- Junior to Drive – Section A, B, C, D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings
  9. Pleasure Driving Pony STAKE – Section, A, B, C, D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings  (Entry fee - $10.00)

HALF WELSH

Half Welsh Registered in “Half Welsh” of the Welsh Stud Book

Class:

  1. Half Welsh – Two Year Old and Under – Colt, Filly or Gelding
  2. Half Welsh – Three Year Old and Under – Stallion, Mare or Gelding
  3. Champion and Reserve Champion Half Welsh
  4. Half Welsh Under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior or Adult to Ride
