Entry Fee – 15% of prize money won except for classes 22 and 27.

Entry fee for classes 23, 30 and 31 is $10.00 per class and entries with payment must be made at the beginning of the show.

Note:  All exhibitors must pay $5.00 membership fee to Region of Peel Agricultural Society.

Classes 1 to 3, 5 to 7, 9 to 11, 13 & 14 – 1st - $14.00, 2nd - $12.00, 3rd - $10.00, 4th - $8.00, 5th - $6.00

Classes  4 , 8, 12, 15 to 21– Ribbons only

Classes 22  to 27, 29 to 32– 1st – 25.00, 2nd - $20.00, 3rd - $15.00, 4th - $12.00, 5th - $10.00

Classes 28 & 33– 1st - $40.00, 2nd - $35.00, 3rd - $30.00, 4th - $25.00, 5th - $15.00

BREEDING DIVISION

Section A: Registered in Section A of the Stud Book

Class:

  1. Two Years Old and Under - colt, filly or gelding.
  2. Three Years Old and Over, - Mare
  3. Three Years Old and Over - Stallion or Gelding
  4. Champion and Reserve Champion - Section A

Section B:  Registered in Section B of the Stud Book

Class:

         5. Two Years Old and Under - Colt, Filly or Gelding

         6. Three Years Old and Over -Mare

         7. Three Years Old and Over - Stallion or Gelding

         8. Champion and Reserve Champion - Section B

Sections C and D:  Welsh Ponies of Cob Type

(Sections C and D must be registered in Sections C and D of the Welsh Stud Book)

Class:

        9,  Two Years Old and Under - colt, filly or gelding

      10.  Three Years Old and Over - Mare

       11. Three Years Old and Over -Stallion or gelding

       12. Champion and Reserve Champion - Section C or D

HALF WELSH

(one parent must be registered in either Section A, B, C or D of the Welsh Stud Book)

Class:

13.  Two Years Old and under - Colt, filly or gelding

14.  Three Years Old and under - Stallion, Mare or Gelding

15.  Champion and Reserve Champion - Half Welsh

JUNIOR DIVISION

Note:      All exhibitors’  ages are based as of January 1st of the current year.

 

All junior classes are open to Sections A, B, C D and Half Welsh.  Stallions are not permitted in any of the junior classes.  

Riders in Classes 18, 19, 20 and 21 are not eligible to ride in the Performance Division.

        16. Junior Showmanship, 10 years of age and under

        17. Junior Showmanship, 11 to 17 years of age

        18. Child’s Lead Line Pony – Walk – for Children 7 years and under

        19. Child’s Lead Line Pony – Walk/Trot – for Children 12 years and under

        20. Child’s Pony – Equitation - Walk/Trot – for Children 12 years and under

     21.  Child's Pleasure Pony - 12 years of age & under - Walk/Trot - Performance and Suitability to count. 

PERFORMANCE UNDER SADDLE DIVISION

Please note that stallions may only be shown by an adult in any class.

       22. Equitation - Junior to ride - mare or gelding - Section A, B, C, D & Half Welsh

        23.  Welsh Pleasure Pony under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior to Ride – Section A and B – Mares and Geldings

       24. Welsh Pleasure Pony under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Adult to Ride- Section A and B – Mares, Geldings & Stallions

       25. Welsh Pleasure Pony or Cob under Saddle – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior or Adult to Ride.  Section C and D – Mares, Stallions                      or Geldings.

       26. Welsh Open Command under Saddle - Junior or Adult to ride. Section A, B, C, D and Half Welsh.  Mares, Stallions or Geldings         27.  Half Welsh Pleasure Pony under Saddle - Adult or Junior to Ride - mare, stallion or gelding

        28.  Welsh Pleasure Pony under Saddle – STAKE – Walk/Trot/Canter – Junior or Adult to Ride.  Section A, B, C, D – Mares,                               Stallions or geldings.   (Entry fee - $10.00)

 

       PERFORMANCE IN HARNESS DIVISION

To be shown in a suitable 2 or 4 wheeled pleasure vehicle.  Type of harness is optional.  Adult or Junior to drive.  Drivers to carry a whip and wear a hat, gloves and driving apron.  Drivers under 18 years of age must wear and ASTM approved equestrian helmet.  Juniors may not drive stallions. 

 

       29. Welsh Pleasure Driving Pony – Section A, B, C, D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings - Novice pony or cob.  Pony to be in 1st or 

               2nd year of showing in driving classes. 

       30. Welsh Pleasure Driving Pony – Section A& B – Mares, Stallions or Geldings - Adult or Junior to drive

       31. Welsh Pleasure Driving Pony-  Section C & D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings - Adult or Junior to drive

       32. Welsh Pleasure Driving Pony - Section A, B, C & D - mare or gelding - Junior to Drive

        33 Pleasure Driving Pony STAKE – Section, A, B, C, D – Mares, Stallions or Geldings  (Entry fee - $10.00)
